About the role and team

 

Within the central Marketing function, the Brand & Category Marketing Team is responsible for unlocking scalable brand growth in priority markets while driving growth and engagement amongst buyers and sellers for our 4 Business Units: Collectables, Luxury, Art & Interiors. 

Our team is responsible for reaching millions of new and existing users across Europe and supporting Catawiki’s mission to become the most popular marketplace for special objects.

We’re looking for a summer intern to support and execute key strategic initiatives. 

What you’ll do 

This position offers a valuable learning experience for someone who is looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing operations.

You will work alongside our Head of Brand & Category Marketing to assist in driving strategic and operational initiatives across marketing and with other functions to drive collaboration and enhance the executional impact of marketing. You will play a pivotal part in bringing the right teams and skills together; aligning different functions to bring initiatives to life.

As the Brand Marketing Intern, Marketing Operations, you will: 

  • Coordinate and manage strategic initiatives - such as marketing planning cycles and campaigns - as assigned by the Head of Brand & Category Marketing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination of marketing activities
  • Assist in the optimization of marketing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and manage project plans by coordinating work streams and dependencies, track and communicate progress, and identify and address obstacles proactively
  • Provide general support to the marketing team, including administrative tasks such as coordinating cross-functional workshops, preparing presentations and producing reports as needed.

Who you are 

  • Applicants must be enrolled at university during the internship period. You must be studying at a university, with a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field. 
  • Experienced in international environments, having collaborated with people from multiple countries and cultures. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels of a company 
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluent in English.  Additional European languages are a plus
  • You’re available for either a summer internship (June/July start) or from September 2023 to February 2024, with a minimum commitment of 5-6 months.

This role will be hybrid, and our office is located in our Amsterdam office, the Netherlands.

Our offices and new way of working

We’ve embraced an activity-based way of working, meaning our team can choose how they split their work week between home and the office, in line with our remote framework and guidelines. In locations where we have physical offices, most employees enjoy two days at the office to connect and collaborate with each other.

Our experts and sales staff in local markets work 100% remotely – in most cases from home. Some key positions are hired remotely, while we also offer relocation services for colleagues needing to be closer to the office.
