About the role

As a Category Lead for our Pre-owned & Brand Jewellery Category, you take care of the coordination of daily operations concerning the auctions within the Category. Your goal is to make the team of (remotely located) experts work in the most efficient, scalable and consistent way possible and achieve the targets of this category.

What you’ll do

  • Ensuring and optimising operational excellence of the auctions
  • Consistency in the application of the quality guidelines, setting up & updating guidelines
  • Taking the lead in growing the professional seller share & internationalisation of our seller base within our category together with the sales department and our expert group
  • Day-to-day coordination of the auctions: managing auction timelines, lot specifics, standard replies and screening lot distribution across the team
  • Managing a close collaboration of our category with colleagues in Customer Support to secure delighting our customers
  • Supporting the Category Manager in analysing and explaining current performance results & setting up strategy
  • Supporting the Category Manager in optimizing partnerships with external partners

What you’ll bring

  • If you want to become our new Category Lead you will be likely to have:
  • Strong organizational & operational skills
  • Great analytical skills and an affinity for using data to inform decision making
  • Affinity with pre-owned Jewellery, including Vintage & Antique Jewellery, second-hand modern Jewellery and Brand Jewellery from major brands (Cartier, Tiffany, Pomellato etc.)
  • A true team player, with excellent intercultural communication skills to achieve good collaboration with the category manager, the team, other departments and external partners
  • Proactive attitude and a tendency to spot opportunities in improving processes, partnerships, and collaborations both
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English is a must, any additional languages are a nice to have
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with computers and computer programs
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Given the rapid development and growth of the team, an interest or experience in people management would be considered a plus

Our offices and new way of working

We’ve embraced an activity-based way of working, meaning our team can choose how they split their work week between home and the office, in line with our remote framework and guidelines. In locations where we have physical offices, most employees enjoy two days at the office to connect and collaborate with each other.

Our experts and sales staff in local markets work 100% remotely – in most cases from home. Some key positions are hired remotely, while we also offer relocation services for colleagues needing to be closer to the office.
