Who we are

A piece of the moon, a complete dinosaur skeleton, the Pope's hat, the world's smallest book - at Catawiki, we come across exceptional objects such as these every day. The special object you’ve been searching for, or a new and unexpected interest you never thought you’d have: the more you look, the more you’ll find. And at Catawiki, there’s always more to the story. Every day sellers submit thousands of objects to sell on Catawiki. Our 240+ in-house experts review and select only the best to auction.

Our mission is to connect passionate enthusiasts with the objects that tell their stories. As Europe’s fastest growing online auction platform, we help over 10 million people discover new treasures every month. This means we are continually growing and always on the lookout for new talent!

Born and raised in The Netherlands, we started in 2008 and have since grown to over 750 Catawikians, working across 7 international offices, while maintaining our start-up mentality every step of the way. In December 2020 we received a new €150m investment round led by Permira and are excited to be growing our team and business further across the world.

How you'll make an impact

You will be defining and executing our Pay & Ship (Fulfillment) strategy, responsible for building easy check-out, seller payment & shipment solutions, great post-purchase experience and further expanding Catawiki’s payment solutions and carrier network. This is a high visibility role and key strategic area for Catawiki, driving further our international expansion & localization of payment methods and shipping.

We’re solving some of the hardest problems in the industry - cross-border trade of special objects and you’ll have a chance to reimagine the experience for shipping & paying for art, classic cars, diamonds or a 100 year old bottle of wine. Buyers do come to Catawiki for the unique objects on display. Sellers are on Catawiki to access our large community of Passionate Enthusiasts, but it is because of our clever payment and shipping solutions that people come back.

The Pay & Ship (Fulfillment) vertical currently has three cross-functional teams. You’ll report to the VP of Product at Catawiki.

As Group Product Manager at Catawiki, you will inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams to:

  • Relentlessly focus on solving the most impactful problems for our customers and business, set goals and measure progress towards achieving them.
  • Lead and mentor product managers, helping them build a world class product and empowering them to be their best at Catawiki.
  • You will drive both the longer term strategic direction of the Vertical as well as individually contribute to execute key projects.
  • Translate user & business needs into product roadmaps that reflect customer insights, stakeholder input and company goals.
  • Manage and work closely with your stakeholders: legal, finance, CX or other functions to get the best ideas in and subsequently get everyone aligned for fast implementation.
  • Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail in execution.

Who you are

In addition to your demonstrable experience managing a team of product managers in a fast-growing online company, you also have:

  • Experience in any of the following domains - FinTech, Consumer Shipping, Marketplace Pay & Ship Propositions
  • A strong belief in customer-centric product development and data-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to head and mentor product managers to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience managing large product portfolios and scaling product teams and verticals.
  • Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders, natural collaboration skills and ability to communicate in a clear and concise way.
  • Energy, a commercial empathy, and a sense of urgency to everything you touch; you’re a self-motivated and results-driven person who is not afraid to get their hands dirty to solve a problem.
  • 2-3 years of experience heading several product teams as Group Product Manager or Head of Product in a fast-growing company.
  • 5+ years of hands-on product management experience.

If you don’t meet all the criteria and you’re passionate about the opportunity we still encourage you to apply. We’re committed to carefully reviewing and considering all applications.
