About the role

Catawiki’s Commercial organisation is growing in size and complexity and, in order to support ambitious growth, Catawiki is seeking a Head of Commercial Enablement to work closely alongside our Commercial Leadership team. We are searching for a strategic commercial enablement professional who will manage several work streams to drive commercial enablement.

This is a new role within Catawiki. This means that while the scope is defined, a key element of this role is the ability to identify & define priorities as well as scope & plan the mid-term, while still making impact in the short-term. You will be expected to lead & engage the existing Commercial Enablement team, helping translate complex problems into a sequenced plan of actions to continue scaling our commercial capabilities.

As the Head of Commercial Enablement, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you partner closely with cross-functional teams across Catawiki to operationalise & scale our sales & curation capabilities. You will provide cross-functional leadership to chart strategic direction in sync with overall company roadmaps, while delivering flexible sales- & expert-focused capabilities that meet near- to long-term business needs. Your goal is that the business is well-positioned to move fast in adapting for scale and complexity.The ideal candidate will be passionate about Catawiki’s mission, have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, experience in working with stakeholders from business and technical backgrounds, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering against tight deadlines, and a passion for scaling operations.

Scope: The Head of Commercial Enablement will partner with the Senior Director, Commercial Operations and other leaders. The role will entail business planning and insights, operating cadence (rhythm of the business) for Commercial teams, sales & curation enablement, strategic projects to drive scalable revenue growth and operational effectiveness. The role is part of the Commercial Operations function, with a particular focus on sales & curation capabilities and operational excellence.

 

In this role, you are building & leading a team responsible for:

  • Sales Operations: Create and manage a reporting framework for opportunities, forecasts and churn analysis; conduct sales analysis to identify opportunities to enhance and accelerate the sales cycle; drive internal strategy for sales CRM: how we use HubSpot to scale our customer growth (including accounts, opportunities, forecasting, etc.); utilize quantitative insights to recommend new initiatives and best practices for Sales and Commercial leadership; provide sales training and tools as necessary to sales team to accelerate the sales cycle; collaborate with outside vendors as needed to provide playbooks, best practices, and tools
  • Curation Operations: Create and manage a reporting framework for trends, opportunities & actionable insights around our curation capabilities; utilize quantitative insights to recommend & implement new initiatives and best practices for experts & Category leadership; design and rollout optimised processes enabling curation at scale, aligned to our value proposition; provide training and tools as necessary to expert teams to optimise our curation efficiencies & auction planning
  • Business and Strategic Planning, Operating Rhythm: Support management in strategic, operational and financial planning and ensure decisions in line with overall Catawiki approach and goals; lead operational reviews and rhythm of the Commercial teams to optimise future planning and review progress on goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews for sellers & categories); work with Data Science to provide business analytic capability to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
  • Strategic Projects and Initiatives: Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for the Commercial Enablement team, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization; lead/facilitate cross functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations through to implementation; drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency; remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business; partner with leaders and HR on Organizational Effectiveness

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in business, engineering or other relevant/quantitative disciplines from a leading university
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning and/or enablement roles
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis, experience solving complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational), and to drive projects from strategy to execution
  • Experience developing or oversee advanced quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Leadership and influencing. Can lead/influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans
  • Results and detail-oriented, with proven commercial/business acumen

Our offices and new way of working

In locations where we have physical offices, most employees enjoy two days at the office to connect and collaborate with each other.

Our experts and sales staff in local markets work 100% remotely – in most cases from home. Some key positions are hired remotely, while we also offer relocation services for colleagues needing to be closer to the office.
