Payroll Coordinator

About the role

The People Operations Team is the building block of our People function, with strong, robust and efficient operations we grow our partnerships with the business and create a meaningful employee experience. To support our future growth we are looking for a Payroll Coordinator (32-40 hours per week) to strengthen our People Operations Team.

As Payroll Coordinator you are responsible for end to end administration of the payroll, under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, in all countries where our Catawikians are based. Of course we want to pay our employees all over the world their salaries on time and ensure timely and accurate processing of the payroll. This includes collecting and providing payroll data to the local payroll providers and reviewing the completed payroll reports. Currently our Catawikians are based in 8 European countries, a few countries outside Europe and we are expanding further on a global level.

What you’ll do

• On a monthly basis, you are responsible for collecting all payroll data from internal departments, organizing and submitting to the local payroll provider in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review monthly payroll output reports to ensure (variable) data is processed correctly.
• Keep track of and ensure compliance regarding all local legislations.
• Prepare and submit monthly changes to our pension provider and insurances and check payroll invoices. 
• Participate in the payroll implementation process for new countries, if needed.
• Prepare and align with the Finance team on payroll reporting.
• Work together with the People Operations Team to implement automation, innovation and any continuous improvements around the payroll processing and reporting.
• Move in Sync with our Finance & Legal team, HR Business Partners and Recruitment to optimise employee processes and experience.

What you’ll bring

You have a few years work experience in an HR department of a commercial and international oriented organisation and:

• 2+ years experience in payroll for the Netherlands and further EU countries.
• Ability to identify and mitigate (compliance) risks and well versed in local labour law.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures.
• Proactive, flexible and service orientated.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, accurate and a high level of integrity. 
• A multitasker who can prioritise to meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Experience in working with Workday and a PDL certification is preferred.
