About the role and team

As an Intern at the Primary Market (Direct from the Artist) team, you will be closely involved with finding new leads, onboarding artists to our platform and supporting the team of Experts and the Sales with the administrative tasks with regards to lead generation and onboarding. Using your commercial skills and knowledge, you will be responsible for making artists successful in their onboarding and first try at Catawiki.

Catawiki strives to keep user transactions as transparent and fair as possible, and your honesty and experience play a large part in maintaining this standard; you know better than anyone how exciting and important it is to support artists to sell their works in a dynamic,  transparent and trustworthy way.

You will find new sources of supply, generating leads of artists that fit our quality standards at auction, you will make the first outreach to those and follow up on their onboarding and first sales. You will need to be in close contact with Experts and the Sales team to identify, maximize and align on artists submissions and their first sales. You will learn how to use CRM tools and how to maximize outreaches in a dynamic way.  

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Find new supply sources & create Artists leads cross countries, in line with our quality guidelines
  • Onboarding of Artists & follow up on their first sales
  • Support Experts’ on onboarding high potential leads
  • Support and guide Artists on their first sales on Catawiki, together with Experts
  • You will be monitoring onboardings and performance of those to maximize their success in our platform

Who You Are 

  • You are a bachelor/HBO or master's student in Business or related studies
  • Strong Sales negotiation skills
  • Artist management experience and/or Art enthusiast
  • Knowledge/ Interest in Sales CRMs and in Lead Generation
  • Excellent English communication, and fluency in another language, preferably Italian, Spanish, Dutch or German.
  • Team player and thrive in a diverse team environment
  • Great computer skills necessary
  • Responsible, good at coordinating and giving operation support
  • It will be highly valued previous experience/internships in other online platforms.
  • Currently enrolled in a Dutch university

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
