About the internship

The People Operations team is the building block of our People function, with strong, robust and efficient operations we grow our partnerships with the business and create a meaningful employee experience.

As Intern People Operations you are part of the People Team and you will support the People Operations Team in a diverse range of assistant and administrative tasks for 700+ employees that work in multiple countries. You will have the opportunity to support driving efficiency in our processes and you will work closely with our wider HR, Recruitment, Finance and Legal teams.

You are proactive, able to perform a wide variety of tasks and are passionate about adding value to the employee experience. You thrive on collaborative working, both at team level and within your supporting functions.

This role will be located in our Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Your tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Support the People Operations and Payroll team in a range of administrative tasks throughout the employee life cycle, including issuing contracts and amendments, extensions,  and running scheduled reports;
  • Keep our digital employee files up to date and process documents in DocuSign;
  • Follow up on ad-hoc requests from all our employees from different countries; 
  • Keep our personnel system up to date and administer changes where applicable; 
  • Support in setting up efficient processes and keeping our policies up to date;
  • Liaise with various departments like Finance, L&D and Office Management and build and maintain these relationships over time. You connect the various departments and make sure everyone stays aligned.

Who are you

  • Degree in Human Resources or related. You need to be enrolled in a Dutch university through the duration of the internship;
  • Available for at least 5 months (preferably and if possible longer);
  • Experience in a broad range of HR topics preferred; 
  • International exposure, specifically having worked with people across multiple countries or experience in international environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good organizational, stakeholder and time management skills;
  • Detail oriented and proactive;
  • You think ahead and you are a problem solver. You rock at multi-tasking; 
  • Team player as well as someone who can work independently and autonomously;
  • Creative mindset with the ability to come up with new ideas and solutions to optimize the employee experience. 
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbally).

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
