The use of AI
At Catawiki, we see AI as a powerful enabler, it’s an important part of how we work, innovate, and collaborate.
Just like the special objects we curate, Catawikians are truly unique. We value authenticity in our hiring process and believe the best matches come from getting to know the real you.
While AI tools can support your preparation, we ask that you use them responsibly and transparently.
How we use AI
We use AI tools like Metaview, Gemini, ChatGPT and GoodTime to support logistics, note-taking and interview prep. These help us stay efficient and focused, but we never use AI to rank, score or make decisions about candidates. Every hiring decision is made by real people, with care and consideration.
Our guidelines
Be Transparent and Stay Authentic
AI can help structure or refine your application, but it should reflect your own ideas and experience. If you’ve used AI to support your CV, cover letter, or assignment or in other innovative ways then please let us know. Your honesty, creativity and authenticity matter to us.
No AI During Live Interviews (Unless Stated)
Feel free to use AI to prepare for interviews or business cases, but not during them unless otherwise agreed up front. For technical interviews, including live coding assignments, tools like ChatGPT or Co-pilot may be suggested for your use if explicitly stated, just be ready to explain your prompts and technical decisions clearly.
Take-Home Assignments Must Reflect Your Own Work
You’re welcome to research or use AI to support your process, but what you submit should clearly demonstrate your own approach and conclusions. We want to see your ideas, not what GenAI suggests.
Undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI may lead to disqualification.
We recognise that candidates are increasingly using AI during their job search, and we are open to thoughtful, transparent use. However, if AI is used outside of the outlined expectations without disclosure, your candidacy will be disqualified. We don’t tolerate plagiarism or misrepresentation and will verify key information with references.
