About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven expert with a modern, entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate the growth of our Bullion segment. This role is tailor-made for someone who thrives in spotting opportunities early, acting fast on market and release trends, and building auctions that outperform expectations.

Unlike a traditional numismatist, you bring a market-savvy, forward-looking perspective, strong digital fluency, and a solid network of mints, wholesalers, and bullion distributors. You understand contemporary minting, special issues, bullion innovations, and the dynamics of online trading.

You will curate, shape, and grow our Modern Coins offer while contributing to the strategic direction of this fast-growing category.

In This Role, You Will:

Curate, Evaluate & Screen Lots

• Review, screen, and validate lots submitted by sellers for accuracy, authenticity, condition, and market relevance.
• Ensure each accepted lot is attractive, commercially viable, and aligned with market trends.
• Provide accurate estimated values based on your expertise, data insights, and market benchmarking.
• Reject submissions when needed, always in a professional and courteous manner.
• Improve listing quality by advising sellers on presentation, pricing, and valuation.
  
  

Grow High-Performing Auctions

• Build weekly auctions that are competitive, trend-aligned, and appealing to collectors.
• Use your deep market knowledge such as release cycles, minting calendars, limited editions, bullion trends, to select the right lots at the right time.
• Apply data insights (demand, conversion, search trends, pricing performance) to increase quality and sales outcomes.
  
  

Act Like an Entrepreneur (Trading Mindset)

• You will contribute in building a strategic vision for the bullion category
• Operate with a trader’s mentality: buying, selling, negotiating, and seizing opportunities quickly.
• Identify price gaps, supply shortages, and special releases to strengthen auction content.
• Drive volume and revenue while maintaining the category’s quality standards.
• You will Identify and prioritize growth segments through market research and our data insights 
• You will work on shaping the supply roadmap and define what “great” looks like in the bullion space.

Build & Leverage Your Network

Activate and expand your professional network across:

• Global mints & private mints
• Wholesalers & authorized distributors
• Dealers, collectors, and online sellers
• Continuously onboard new sellers and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
• Use your industry connections to secure unique and desirable supply.
  
  

Collaborate to Achieve Growth

• Partner with Sales to identify, onboard, and scale high-potential sellers.
• Work with Marketing to build campaigns around trends, major releases, and market demand.
• Provide insights to internal teams on buyer behaviour, supply gaps, and category opportunities.
  
  

Leverage Data to Drive Performance

• Analyze auction results, pricing behaviour, bidder engagement, and supply patterns.
• Use insights to optimize curation, seller recommendations, lot selection, and auction strategy.
• Identify new opportunities through data eg. emerging series, trending mints, investor behaviour, etc.
  
  

Guide & Support Sellers

• Help sellers create high-quality listings with proper titles, descriptions, and images.
• Act as a trusted point of contact, ensuring a smooth and efficient seller journey.
• Apply diplomacy and professionalism when mediating disputes or providing feedback.

Expertise & Profile

• You are a bullion specialist with a strong commercial mindset. You have a deep enthusiasm for contemporary minting technology, modern collectibles, bullion innovations. You release calendars, mint practices, production methods, grading trends, and collector behaviour.
• You are a natural networker with hands-on experience working with mints, distributors, wholesalers.
  
  

Commercial & Entrepreneurial Mindset

• You have proven experience buying and selling bullion both in-person and through online platforms. Ideally you have past experience in the wholesale or retail of bullion in a structured organization.
• Fully comfortable working in a digital marketplace environment.
• You thrive in a commercial environment with ambitious sales and revenue targets.

You think like a trader: fast, opportunistic, pragmatic, and growth-driven. Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn from data and market signals.

Network & Industry Knowledge

• You have a strong, active network including:
• Mints & authorized distributors
• Wholesalers
• Dealers and collectors

• You are comfortable using data to make decisions, price lots, and identify opportunities.
• You stay up to date with digital marketplace trends, collector behaviour, and demand patterns.
