Expert Classic Cars (French or German speaker) - Germany

At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! Whether it’s Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 Car, a Woolly Mammoth’s Skeleton, Lady Gaga's Jumpsuit or Usain Bolt’s running shoe, we encounter exceptional objects every day.

We’re a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 110,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts.

Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us.

  • Taking ownership and driving impact
  • Being open to change and feedback
  • Being passionate about our mission and our customers.

Your Mission

As Senior Classic Car Expert, you grow and strengthen Catawiki’s classic car category by combining deep automotive expertise with commercial focus. You identify new supply, activate underserved markets, and ensure high-value vehicles are curated and positioned to sell. You act as both expert and deal maker, building trusted seller relationships while shaping auctions that excite buyers and drive GMV.

What You’ll Do

  • Expand into unsupported or underserved markets by sourcing new leads and building active seller portfolios
  • Reactivate and grow existing seller relationships through tailored outreach and strong market insight
  • Secure high-value cars and commercial deals that directly contribute to GMV and category growth
  • Screen and curate incoming lots with a strong commercial lens to ensure quality, buyer fit and sell-through potential
  • Develop themed and promotional auctions that use storytelling and market insight to drive engagement and urgency
  • Support the broader automotive team, including the motorcycle category, to maximise cross-category performance

What You’ll Bring

  • Fluency in French or German
  • A strong personal network of sellers, collectors and dealers within the classic car market
  • Proven commercial mindset with experience working towards targets and closing high-value deals
  • Ability to identify and develop opportunities in underpenetrated or emerging markets
  • Confidence collaborating with and energising a team of automotive experts
  • Deep knowledge of classic cars, market trends and buyer demand, combined with a results-driven approach

How We Work

  • You join a tight-knit team of classic car experts across the Netherlands and Italy, each bringing deep brand expertise and a shared focus on commercial performance
  • You contribute your market knowledge and network to strengthen the team’s collective reach, while benefiting from shared insight and collaboration on high-value lots
  • You work in a team that challenges every listing with a commercial lens, asking how it will sell and to which buyer segment
  • You balance autonomy in building your markets with close collaboration on curated auctions, themed sales and category growth initiatives
