About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven, entrepreneurial mindset expert in our constantly growing Modern and Euro Coins segment who thrives in spotting opportunities, acting fast on market trends, and driving growth. You will play a key role in our continuous path in building high-performing auctions that meet sales targets and exceed expectations.

In this role, you will:

Curate and grow auctions: Evaluate and arrange lots submitted by sellers, ensuring they are attractive, competitive, and commercially viable.
Drive results: Actively use your knowledge of market trends, pricing, and demand to build auctions that maximize sales and buyer engagement.
Trade like an entrepreneur: Constantly think and act like a trader – buying, selling, negotiating, and seizing every opportunity to grow volume and revenue.
Build seller relationships: Engage your network of dealers, collectors, and traders while proactively onboarding new sellers and strengthening relationships with existing ones.
Collaborate to grow: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to align strategies, scale sellers, and achieve ambitious commercial goals.
Leverage data: Analyze sales performance and apply insights to optimize pricing, submissions, and auction curation.

Who You Are

You have expert knowledge in Modern coins, Collectable Modern coins and Euro Coins (specialties by country/region are also welcome).
You are entrepreneurial and commercially minded, you participate fairs and you have proven experience in buying and selling
You have a growth mindset, you know the market of these coins very well and you are constantly scanning the market for trends, opportunities, and price dynamics.
You are results-oriented and thrive on achieving ambitious sales and revenue targets.
You have a strong network of dealers, collectors, and sellers and know how to leverage it.
You understand how to balance independence with structure: you bring high energy and initiative while working within organizational goals and frameworks.
You are an excellent communicator, fluent in English, and able to act diplomatically when needed.
You have experience using data to drive decisions and scale growth.
You are a natural team player, thriving in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means that you will be in the office 2 out of 5 days (40% of your working time) to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. That said, some roles may be an exception: if the job description states that the position is fully remote or 100% office-based, that arrangement will apply instead.
