You’ll join a passionate, category-specific team of experts who curate exceptional auctions for Catawiki’s growing global community of collectors and enthusiasts. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and authenticity of every auction, helping connect unique sellers with eager buyers. Working closely with Senior Experts and Category Managers, you’ll learn how to use data, market knowledge, and expert tools to deliver engaging, high-quality auctions that reflect Catawiki’s mission to bring the world of special objects online. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop deep category expertise, build commercial acumen, and make a tangible impact in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will collaborate across departments such as Sales and Customer Experience, contributing to an outstanding buyer and seller journey.
Curate and Support High-Quality Auctions: Apply wine category knowledge, data insights, and Catawiki’s quality guidelines to help select and publish outstanding lots that meet company standards.
Use Tools and Data Efficiently: Work with expert and CRM tools (such as HubSpot) to curate auctions, manage seller information, and track performance metrics.
Contribute to Growth: Support business development by identifying promising sellers and helping to expand supply within your category.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with colleagues from Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing to ensure smooth auction execution and alignment on customer needs.
Take Ownership: Manage your daily tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver work that contributes to team and business goals.
Embrace Change and Learning: Actively seek feedback, use new technologies such as AI to improve workflows, and adapt quickly to evolving priorities and market trends.
Champion Catawiki’s Mission: Bring enthusiasm and a customer-first mindset to everything you do, ensuring each auction delivers value to both sellers and buyers.
Industry knowledge: At least 5 years of experience in the broader European wine trade or a related field. WSET Level 2 or higher is required. Experience with marketplaces is a strong plus.
Strong communication skills: Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese, with the ability to work effectively across teams and regions. Additional European languages- such as Spanish - are highly valuable to engage local sellers and support regional auctions.
Motivated Curator: You have a strong interest in auctions, collectables, or your specific category and a sharp eye for quality and detail.
Curious Learner: You show eagerness to build expertise, embrace feedback, and stay updated on market trends and industry developments.
Commercially Aware: You understand how great seller and buyer experiences contribute to Catawiki’s growth and can use CRM and data tools effectively.
Collaborative Communicator: You work well with colleagues across departments, communicate clearly in English, and adapt your approach depending on the audience.
Ownership-Driven: You take accountability for your results, manage your time effectively, and focus on delivering high-impact outcomes.

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model.
