Your Mission

As a Wine Expert, you curate high-quality auctions that connect unique sellers with a global community of collectors and enthusiasts. You safeguard authenticity and quality while using data and market insight to deliver auctions that reflect Catawiki’s standards. Working closely with Senior Experts and Category Managers, you strengthen category performance and contribute to a seamless buyer and seller experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Curate and publish high-quality wine lots using category expertise, data insights and internal quality guidelines
  • Use expert and CRM tools, including HubSpot, to manage seller information and monitor auction performance
  • Identify and support promising sellers to expand and strengthen supply within your category
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience and Marketing to ensure smooth auction execution and alignment on customer needs
  • Manage your daily priorities independently and deliver outcomes that support team and business goals
  • Continuously improve workflows by embracing feedback, new technologies and evolving market trends
  • Contribute to a strong buyer and seller journey through a consistent, customer-focused approach

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in the European wine trade or a related field, with WSET Level 2 or higher
  • Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese, additional European languages such as Spanish are a plus
  • Strong interest in auctions, collectables or wine, with a sharp eye for quality and detail
  • Commercial awareness and ability to use CRM and data tools to support category growth
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with confidence collaborating across teams and regions
  • Ownership mindset with strong time management and focus on high-impact results
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing environment, with openness to new tools and technologies

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire collaboration. Most Catawikians operate in a hybrid setup, combining office-based and remote work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, unless a role is explicitly stated as fully remote or fully office-based.
