About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Social & Content Strategy Lead who is skilled in marrying content strategy with world class creative execution, distribution and measurement. You will create and implement the Catawiki Content Strategy across our key channels, push our creative ambition with agency partners and our own studio, and measure the effectiveness of that strategy. As such, the perfect candidate will be both a media and creative strategist at heart.

The successful candidate will work with our social and content marketers to ensure content is delivered to the highest standard, is on brand, and is leveraged and distributed to its full potential to influence customer actions. Beyond the social and content team, you will work on a daily basis with other members of the Marketing team  - on activations and campaigns as well as partnerships and category led initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Create and define social channels plans combining owned, paid and influencer
  • Bring big ideas to life by managing creative development (internal and external) - from briefing to deployment
  • Combine creativity and effectiveness through strong understanding of audiences, touchpoints and channel thinking
  • Apply your understanding of how brands grow, and how effective social content creates impact and gets measurable results
  • Use data and research to inform and optimise your approach, whilst being open to creative innovation, new channels and exploration
  • Strong storytelling, persuasive pitching and partner engagement to get teams excited and onboard with your thinking
  • Help to craft and develop our planning processes and collaboration across marketing and beyond

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience (5+) in a communications planning or social strategy role, responsible for channel thinking and campaign planning.
  • Experience of using data to build plans and working within a defined planning processes.
  • Experience of working with or within agencies to develop creative and executional thinking.
  • Ability to stay ahead and move with consumer behaviours, technology platforms, and cultural shifts
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and emotional to be a key member of our team
  • Desire to stay close to projects throughout their life cycle to maintaining strategic and creative excellence
  • Passion for creating content that has an impact, that matters and that’s memorable

This role will be hybrid and our office is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Our offices and way of working

We have sensational offices in Amsterdam, Groningen, Paris and our newest office in Lisbon. Most of our employees are within commutable distance of one of our office locations and enjoy a hybrid work model. This means we expect you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with each other. The exception is of course, if the job description specifically states that the role is 100% remote, as some experts and sales positions are.
