Senior Product Manager - Demand

At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! Whether it’s Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 Car, a Woolly Mammoth’s Skeleton, Lady Gaga's Jumpsuit or Usain Bolt’s running shoe, we encounter exceptional objects every day.

We’re a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. Each week, more than 100,000 unique items are auctioned, all carefully curated by our passionate in-house experts.

Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us.

  • Taking ownership and driving impact
  • Being open to change and feedback
  • Being passionate about our mission and our customers.

What you’ll do

You will join our Demand vertical, where we attract new buyers, help them get started, connect them with objects they love and build lasting engagement with Catawiki.

As Senior Product Manager in Demand, you will shape how buyers discover and connect with special objects across the end-to-end journey. You will make Catawiki feel inspiring, relevant and worth returning to by helping each buyer explore auctions and objects through compelling themes, fresh perspectives and personalized curation informed by their interests, behaviour, intent and context. You will own outcomes across discovery, engagement, conversion and retention, leading cross-functional teams to identify the highest-impact opportunities, validate them through experimentation and turn them into coherent customer experiences and sustainable business growth.

You will own strategy, outcomes and execution for a cross-functional team, working closely with engineering, design, data science, marketing and commercial teams.

You will:

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy and roadmap for key parts of the buyer journey
  • Identify the highest-impact opportunities across onboarding, browse, recommendations, personalisation, conversion and retention
  • Translate company strategy and buyer needs into measurable product and business outcomes
  • Lead initiatives from early discovery and prototyping through experimentation, launch and scaling
  • Create clarity, momentum and accountability across complex cross-team initiatives
  • Use behavioural data, customer research and commercial insight to understand problems and prioritise opportunities
  • Define success metrics, analyse funnel performance and build a rigorous experimentation agenda
  • Design, run and evaluate A/B tests, turning results into clear decisions and follow-up actions
  • Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to improve recommendations, ranking and personalisation
  • Partner closely with design, applying strong product judgement and maintaining a high bar for simple, coherent and distinctive experiences
  • Use AI and prototyping tools to test ideas early, reduce development risk and accelerate learning
  • Identify and create AI-enabled buyer journeys that solve meaningful customer problems
  • Communicate strategy, performance, trade-offs and recommendations clearly to senior and C-level stakeholders

Who you are

  • You have at least five years of product management experience, preferably in consumer e-commerce, marketplaces or another high-scale digital business
  • You have successfully owned an end-to-end customer journey or a broad product area, rather than only individual features
  • You combine strong business leadership with hands-on execution and a consistent bias towards action
  • You understand how product decisions influence engagement, conversion, retention and revenue
  • You are highly data-savvy and comfortable working with funnels, cohorts, experiments and product performance metrics
  • You have extensive experience designing, running and analysing A/B tests
  • You have strong product and design judgement, with a clear point of view on what makes an experience intuitive, useful and high quality
  • You can turn ambiguous opportunities into clear hypotheses, prototypes and executable plans
  • You are comfortable using AI tools to prototype quickly and explore new customer experiences
  • You understand the product applications of recommendations, personalisation, search and machine learning
  • You can balance immediate commercial opportunities with longer-term product and platform investments
  • You communicate complex topics clearly and can influence senior leaders and C-level stakeholders
  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment and maintain a high standard of execution under pressure
