Your Mission

As a Fashion Expert, you curate high-quality auctions that attract engaged bidders while safeguarding trust and transparency on the platform. You combine product expertise with commercial awareness to ensure each listing meets our standards for authenticity, quality and buyer appeal. Working within the Luxury Department, you help shape compelling weekly fashion auctions and contribute to growing our presence in the European and Japanese markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate submitted fashion lots by reviewing descriptions, images and details, and provide fair market value estimates
  • Curate and optimise weekly auctions to attract bidders and maximise sell-through
  • Guide sellers across Europe to create strong listings and ensure a smooth selling experience
  • Identify and onboard new high-quality sellers through your network, trade fairs and fashion communities
  • Maintain quality, authenticity and compliance standards across all listings
  • Partner with Customer Service, Marketing and Sales to resolve disputes, increase visibility and support market growth initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Broad knowledge of fashion products with specialisation in clothing and shoes, men’s fashion is a plus
  • Strong understanding of pre-owned vintage and modern luxury fashion and footwear
  • Ability to assess authenticity and detect non-authentic fashion pieces
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and confidence working in diverse teams
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, and strong computer proficiency
  • Affinity for numbers and analysing auction performance is a plus

How We Work

  • You collaborate closely with fellow Fashion Experts to create attractive, well-curated weekly auctions
  • You work within the Luxury Department, supporting category growth across European markets and contributing to expansion in Japan
  • You partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Marketing and Sales to strengthen seller experience and bidder engagement
  • You balance autonomy in evaluating lots with shared responsibility for maintaining transparency, authenticity and trust

This is a 100% remote role based in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain or Portugal.

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire collaboration. Most Catawikians operate in a hybrid setup, combining office-based and remote work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, unless a role is explicitly stated as fully remote or fully office-based.
