About the role:

As an IT Support intern you will gain experience and knowledge about how an IT team operates within a business.  You’ll have the opportunity to work with all kinds of stakeholders from various areas within the organisation; both technical and non-technical.  You will gain knowledge on the employee lifecycle from the perspective of a support function of an organisation and how we impact overall productivity.

This role is for a fixed term of 6 months with the possibility of being hired as a full-time employee. 

What you will do / be involved in:

Onboarding:

  • Account creation
  • Laptop setup (onboarding)
  • Hardware logistics
  • Onboarding communication and issue troubleshooting
  • Audit onboarding tickets


Offboarding:

  • Offboarding logistics / property returns


IT Support

  • Be the primary point of contact for basic technical issues
  • Escalate issues to team members as needed

 

 What’s you’ll bring to the role:

  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Positive customer service skills with the ability to make people feel validated
  • Willingness to support where needed 
  • Curious mindset and willingness to to learn new things
  • Ability to ask questions when to get a better understanding
  • Willingness to share information and teach people how issues were resolved
  • Hands on approach to tasks
  • Detail oriented in all things you do
  • Basic technical skills / understanding of technical terms
  • Ability to find information to help troubleshoot technical issues
  • Knowledge or previous experience of using Apple laptops
  • Fluent in English - Dutch & additional languages are a plus
  • Currently enrolled in a Dutch university

Our Offices and Way of Working

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
