About the role

As an Account Manager in the Art Supercluster Sales team, your mission is to drive profitable growth by developing and managing a portfolio of high-value art sellers across Spain and beyond. This is a true art sales role, combining commercial ambition, data-driven decision-making, and a deep passion for the art market. Based in Spain, you will travel to key Spanish cities to meet sellers and represent Catawiki in the local art ecosystem.

Working closely with Catawiki’s in-house art experts, you will design and execute sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth, strengthen long-term partnerships, and reinforce Catawiki’s position as a leading online marketplace for art. You will build trusted relationships with galleries, art dealers and artists, acting as a strategic partner who helps them grow their sales through data, insights and smart auction strategies.

This role is ideal for a sales or marketing professional in Spain who loves art, enjoys connecting with people, and thrives in a performance-driven environment. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and collaborate with a passionate, international team of art and sales experts.

About the Art Sales Team

The Art Sales Team is made up of 8 highly motivated Key Account Managers and Business Developers based across Europe. United by a passion for art and sales, the team works closely together to deliver strong commercial results while shaping the future of Catawiki’s art marketplace.

The team culture is collaborative, ambitious, and hands-on. Ownership, curiosity, and experimentation are encouraged, and everyone contributes to strategic initiatives that align with Catawiki’s global Art strategy. You will join a group of professionals who care deeply about art, performance, and building meaningful seller relationships.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Develop medium- and long-term sales growth strategies for your art sellers, fully aligned with Catawiki’s Art strategy and commercial KPIs.
  • Manage and grow relationships with top art dealers, galleries, and artists across Spain through regular calls, in-person meetings, and attendance at art fairs and industry events.
  • Work closely with art experts to source high-quality lots for auctions and to organize impactful single-seller auctions.
  • Educate, guide, and challenge sellers on key performance drivers such as reserve price strategy, quality standards, and auction performance.
  • Use sales data and insights to design, test, and run seller incentive programs that increase engagement and results.
  • Monitor performance, analyze trends, and present clear account insights, opportunities, and results to senior stakeholders and the wider sales team.
  • Occasionally contribute to business development initiatives and cross-functional projects that support the growth and evolution of the ArtSupercluster.
  • Coach and support more junior sales colleagues by sharing best practices, sales techniques, and account strategies, contributing to the overall performance of the Art Sales team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in Business, Economics, Sales, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is essential; an additional European language is a strong plus.
  • Based in Spain, with the flexibility and willingness to travel to major Spanish cities.
  • A true self-starter mindset: proactive, well-organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
  • Proven experience in sales or account management with strong negotiation skills and confidence using data to drive decisions.
  • Optional: A genuine passion for art and a solid understanding of how the art market, galleries, and artists operate.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides), with a clear ability to turn data into action.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, or the motivation and ability to learn new systems quickly.
