Your Mission

As Shipping Operations Project Manager, you will be a hands-on individual contributor within Commercial Operations responsible for ensuring the reliability and continuous improvement of Catawiki’s shipping operations.

This is a critical performance-driven role that combines project management, operational ownership and strong logistics expertise.

  • You will drive shipping-related initiatives, coordinate across business and technical stakeholders and ensure that shipping tooling and integrations operate reliably and efficiently.
  • You act as a subject-matter expert for shipping within the organisation, enabling teams who do not have deep logistics expertise to make better decisions and respond more effectively to issues.
  • You will work with the Shipping Operations Program Manager to drive shipping improvements, translate strategic priorities into concrete initiatives and ensure projects are executed effectively across teams.
  • You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure that shipping-related technical solutions accurately reflect logistics realities and support scalable operations.
  • Overall, your role is to translate logistics realities into clear operational actions and technical requirements that help the organisation run shipping more reliably at scale.

This role is particularly suited for candidates who have worked with shipping platforms, logistics SaaS providers or marketplace logistics tooling.

What You'll Do

  • Own the operational performance of shipping flows across carriers, markets and shipment types, ensuring issues are identified early and addressed quickly
  • Lead shipping-related operational initiatives aimed at improving reliability, efficiency and customer experience
  • Act as the business owner of the operational interfaces we rely on for shipping (eg. tracking platforms and label providers), ensuring configurations, integrations and workflows are properly set up and continuously improved
  • Develop a strong understanding of the functionalities, settings and integrations of our shipping tooling and ensure these are effectively leveraged by the business
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to support the implementation, improvement or fixing of carrier integrations and shipping-related tooling
  • Translate operational shipping needs and carrier constraints into clear problem statements and requirements for the logistics tech team
  • Monitor shipment performance, tracking signals and operational exceptions to identify patterns, issues or improvement opportunities
  • Run targeted analyses to understand root causes and support decision making across Commercial Operations
  • Act as the go-to shipping expert for Commercial Operations, supporting Sales, Customer Service and Seller Enablement teams with operational guidance
  • Maintain and continuously improve internal documentation and operational best practices related to carriers, shipping processes and tooling

What You'll Bring

  • 5–10 years of experience in shipping, logistics or e-commerce operations within a technology-enabled environment (eg. marketplaces, shipping platforms or logistics SaaS)
  • Strong practical understanding of shipping carriers, delivery flows and operational realities within the EU (eg. customs processes, tracking events, exception handling and service reliability)
  • Experience working with shipping technology platforms or integrations (eg. tracking platforms, label providers, shipping APIs or logistics tooling)
  • Ability to manage operational interfaces and vendor tooling, including understanding configurations, integrations and workflows
  • Proven ability to drive operational initiatives and get cross-functional work delivered in collaboration with business and technical teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data to understand operational performance and root causes
  • Ability to translate operational findings into clear, actionable recommendations and technical requirements
  • Experience working as an individual contributor in a cross-functional environment involving Product, Engineering and business stakeholders
  • High degree of ownership, independence and reliability, with comfort managing BAU responsibilities alongside operational improvements
